Tiếp xúc ngôn ngữ thể hiện trong tục ngữ Việt và tục ngữ Khmer

Abstract The living environment affects and is reflected in the thinking of people. This article studies language contact between the Viet and Khmer ethnic groups because they share the residential area and living environment. This contact expresses the differences and similarities between Vietnamese and Khmer cultures, and can especially be identified in proverbs of the two ethnic groups. Symbolic images in the proverbs clearly illustrate the linguistic interaction and exchange between the two ethnic groups.
