Tín ngưỡng thờ Mẫu qua truyền thuyết, điện thờ và lễ hội Bà chúa Thác Bờ (Hòa Bình), Bà chúa Thác Bà (Yên Bái) và Mẫu Ỷ La (Tuyên Quang) xưa và nay

Abstract The article introduces the practical forms of beliefs of Holy Mother through the system of legends, temple a d fest vals a e t t mes a d owada s abo t emple a Bơ Pr ess ( oa B ), Temple Thac Ba Princess (Yen Bai) and Holy Mother Y La (Tuyen Quang), in the Northern mountainous provinces, with the characteristics of ethnic culture. According to legend, they made distingished contributions to the protection of mountain land, borderland, and they have been woprshiped by the people as Goddess or Holy Mother. Holy Mothers and Princesses worshiped in the local temple mentioned above, have supernatural powers, surperviving the waterfalls and rapids in the r ver Da, r ver C a , r ver Lo. Fest vals of temple a Bơ, temple a Ba, temple Y La old ever year and are increasingly attracting the broad participation of the local people and tourists across Vietnam and the world.
