Abstract The Literature of Vietnam during late 19th century and early 20th century began its operation under the market mechanism in the economy which had gradually become market-oriented. This mechanism was removed during the two resistance wars against the French and the USA (except the areas temporarily occupied by the enemy) to establish the literature of Resistance. But after the victory of the resistance, and especially after a period of renovation, the Vietnam literature to date has returned to operating in a market economy mechanism. The problems emerging here have created many different streams of opinion. This article presents mainly our understanding of the issues raised in the reciprocal relationship: authors-works, works-readers, the authors-readers. They created a number of characteristics of the literature in a market economy.
