ABSTRACT There are many delimitate ways with the negative sentence in Vietnamese. Most of the ways are based on the place of the negative words, the number of quantifiers on negative judgements or purpose and meaning of the negation. The article is concerned with the double negative sentence which is the important form of the negation sentence which is usually mentioned in logic and general linguistics, but not subtantically discussed in Vietnamese. The article highlights the different forms and nuances of the double negative sentence and distinguish them from other genative sentences.
